As of the 1st of August 2020, we can now start hiring out venues for kid's parties again with some rules set in place by the Government. In today's blog we are going to talk about hiring out a venue in 2020, along with the new Government Guideline rules to ensure that you know everything necessary before making the final decision.
What Are The Rules?
As of now this is just for a venues alone and not home parties. We still cannot host indoor parties within our homes, just venues for the time being. But the guidelines are updated as we speak and before you know it we will be allowed to host indoor gatherings again. If you decide to hire out a venue you can have up to 30 people maximum. This includes all the parents, all the kids and any entertainer you might have hired to perform at your child's party. And we still have to maintain the two meter social distancing rules as well. That is everything you need to know when it comes to the Government Guidelines.
What Should You Do?
Speak to your venue before hand. Your venue should already be aware of all these rules as well. If you decided you want to hire a children's entertainer for your kid's party, check with your venue if they are comfortable with hiring an entertainer. We even built up our Garden Party Package from the ground up to adhere with all Government Guidelines. We can supply your venue with everything they will need from a risk assessment perspective and if they are unsure on the current situation, we are happy to speak with your venue on your behalf. But if you have another entertainment service in mind, please make sure they have risk assessments in place and are more then prepared to perform indoors while adhering with all of the Government rules.
Should You Hire Out A Venue?
That decision is completely up to you. If you feel comfortable with hiring a venue for your kid's birthday and your guests are happy to attend, then by all means do so. Just remember to make sure your venue is up to date with all of the new Goverment Guidelines and they have taken the necessary risk assessments to ensure the environment is safe. Likewise, if you are planning on hiring a children's entertainer for your party make sure they have their own risk assessments in place and they are adhering with all the Government Guidelines as well. But outside of that, anything goes!
