Preparing For The Hot Weather Outdoors | Garden Party Entertainment

Updated: Aug 24, 2023

As the summer continues with high temperature weather following, we are speaking to hundreds of parents every single day about providing a garden party for their children's upcoming birthday. Everyone's super excited to get out and about in the sun, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take care when preparing for the weather.

Getting Ready for Warm Weather Outdoors | Garden Party Entertainment Preparations

It's super important to stay cool in the hot weather. Last June we reached a record breaking temperature of 37.8 °C. That's why we are here to offer some great advice on garden parties and how you can prepare for the weather.

Plenty Of Water!

The most important thing for everyone to do in the heat is always stay hydrated. Make sure you have more than enough cool water for everyone to drink throughout the party. To help maintain health & safety precautions, everyone can be assigned their own individual cups with their names on to make sure no one is drinking out of the same cup.

Sunscreen Protection!

The last thing you want is for anyone to get sunburned in high temperatures. Always have plenty of sunscreen protection on hand for everyone to use and stay protected when the UV Index is quite high. We've performed at thousands of garden parties across the country and it's not uncommon that we see parents have brought their own to the party as well. All the same, it's always good to have lots to share to make sure there's more than enough for all the kids.

Shaded Areas!

We all love to bask in the sun, but it comes to a point where the hot weather can be too much for us to endure at once. That's why we highly recommend setting up plenty of shaded areas to give everyone the opportunity to retreat into the shade if the weather gets too much. This is also perfect for lunch time, so everyone can sit down and take a break from the heat. You can easily set up shaded areas with umbrellas or parasols.

Hats & Sunglasses!

Just for that extra protection, provide all of the children with hats and even sunglasses to help them tolerate the heat. This will help keep the sun out of their eyes as well and make sure they're protected.
