How To Make Your Child's Birthday Special During Lockdown

Just because we're stuck in lockdown doesn't mean your child doesn't have to spend their birthday bored at home. There are tons of things you can do to ensure your child's birthday feels special during lockdown. In today's blog we go over what you can do to make your child's birthday special during lockdown with a few simple concepts.

How To Make Your Child's Birthday Special During Lockdown

Get Family & Friends Together Online!

Since lockdown has started, everyone has been getting together through online social media platforms. Zoom is the most popular choice but there are alternative options available such as Google Hangouts and Skype. This is the perfect way for your child to see all of their friends & family to say happy birthday and wish them a fantastic day. It's an amazing way to show their child no one has forgotten about their birthday and helps go that extra mile to ensure their day is amazing.

Get The Neighbours Involved!

Your might be close friends with some of your neighbours. They might have kids your child is close friends with as well. How great would it be to get the neighbourhood involved? While they can't come over to hang due to social distancing rules, you can set a plan in advance by asking them to go into their garden or outside their front door and sing Happy Birthday together. Your little one will love hearing the street singing for them together. If there's one big positivity that's come out of this lockdown is our community spirit and how everyone has pulled together.

Make A Treasure Hunt!

To make the day longer and inject some excitement, why not plan a treasure hunt with your kid's presents? The presents are easily the most exciting part of their day and they can't wait to get their hands on them. You can design a treasure hunt with your house and hide the presents across your home. The child then has to work out why they are being hidden. For younger kids you might go with a simple treasure map. For older kids you can go with cryptic clues they have to work out to find each gift. Spreading this out really keeps the excitement going throughout the day while adding that spark of happiness.

Have A Virtual Party!

There are a lot of children's entertainment companies out there who are now performing their shows online! Thanks to the wonders of technology you can now hire a children's entertainer to perform for your child online and make their day amazing. Here at Non-Stop Kids we introduced our Virtual Party Package and it has been an amazing experience for all the parents who have attended. Our entertainers set up everything and take care of all the entertainment. All you need to do is sit back and share the link to all of the parents! You can read more about our Virtual Party Packages on our website and see why they are the next best thing!

Garden Party!

Lockdown restrictions have now been eased lightly to allow more contact. At Non-Stop Kids we have received dozens of enquires from parents asking if we can provide entertainment to a small group of kids outside. The answer is yes! Thanks to these new guidelines, we have now introduced our Garden Party Package. Here we can entertain a small group of children outside of your home and ensuring your child gets to have an amazing party with their friends. This package is the perfect opportunity to host live entertainment for your child's birthday while maintaining social distancing guidelines. We can host an outdoor party that has been designed from the ground up, to follow all government guidelines whilst still being an amazing experience.

Conclusion!
