What You Can Do To Host A Virtual Party | Online Children's Entertainment - Vlog

If you haven't already, make sure to check out our previous vlog that talked about hosting your own virtual party from a technical point of view. There are hundreds of ideas out there when it comes to planning your own virtual party with friends and family. A scavenger hunt is a great way to keep the kids active. The parents in each household can hide a different item, and it's the kids job to see who can find them first and bring it back to home base. The best thing about Zoom is that you can share your screen with everyone and keep track of the hunt.

Host Quizzes And Game Shows!

Running quizzes with all the kids is a great way to run the show because there are so many ways it can go. You could run a simple Q&A quiz that's set around animated movies. Round 1 would be about Disney based questions while round 2 is entered around Pixar. You can take this one step further with an interactive quiz that isn't just questions. In one of our recent live streams, our entertainer Jorden did a emoji based quiz where the audience had to answer with emojis. In another Facebook Live, Jess did a dance quiz where the audience had to guess the type of dance she was doing (e.g the robot, the Macarena).

To take this one step further, why not host your own game show? Our entertainer Jorden also did a creative gameshow where she laid out 40 plus objects around the area, covered the camera and removed one fo the objects. The audience had to guess what object was missing. Like the Generation Game. If you are using Zoom and you have software like Powerpoint, you could have pictures of different Disney princesses and the kids have to guess the name of the princess.

Netflix & Board Games!

For the older kids, have a Netflix session! You can do a joint watch along, long as everyone has an account. You can chat with each other about the film while you're watching it. Lastly, you can also play board games. Let's say you're playing monopoly. Have your camera point at it from a birds-eye-view. Everyone from home has their own dice and the host moves their pieces for them. Certain board games work, others don't. Great for kids into a specific board games. Of course, we still highly recommend virtual parties with NSK and allow us run everything for you from an entertainment and technical point of view. Thanks for checking out today's vlog.
