We've spoken to many parents who ask us what they need to provide for a children's party while the entertainer takes care of the entertainment area. In today's blog we talk about what you (the parent) needs to provide for a children's party.
The Location!
It goes without saying the most important thing you need to provide is the location of the party itself. Whenever it's within your home or at a local venue, both the guests and your entertainer will need to know where your party is being held. The best way to do this is to send out RSVP invitations to everyone attending that include the date and time of the party as well.
Space For The Entertainer!
If you are hiring a children's entertainer for your party, make sure to accommodate plenty of space for your entertainer. At Non-Stop Kids our entertainers bring their own equipment and set up everything 30 minutes in advance. This includes party accessories, P.A systems and much more. This isn't usually a problem in venues but for entertainers performing inside your house it is ideal you have created open space for them in advance to ensure they can get everything in.
Food & Drink!
No party is without food and beverages. You want to make sure to have plenty of subsistences available for all of your guests, including the children and their parents. There are two ways you can go about this. You can do the traditional buffet for a large selection of choices but there tends to be a lot of food left over at the end of the party and it is a shame to see it all go to waste. Your second option is to prepare snack boxes. Each snack box is filled with pre-packed food such as sandwiches, fruit, snack bar and a bottled drink. It's a great way to distribute without leftovers and you save money as well. Of course, we can't forget the birthday cake!
