The History of Non Stop Kids Entertainment
Craig & Sarah Petty, along with Anna & Russell Leeds originally set up Non Stop Kids Entertainment in 2012. But before they officially set up the company, Craig and Russell worked together performing at thousands of children’s parties up and down the United Kingdom.
Pre 2012
In a very short period of time Craig & Russell were performing at over 500 parties a year and were highly in demand. They were considered among the top children’s entertainers in the UK. By 2008 they both contributed some of their original routines for a major book publication for children’s entertainers. This was called ‘A World of Children’s Magic’ and had contributions from performers such as Paul Daniels.
The following year they released a worldwide best selling DVD for children’s entertainers called ‘Close Up Magic For Kids’. This was published by the largest magic shop for children’s entertainers in the UK - Practical Magic. Craig was asked to lecture on the subject of entertaining children at the largest Convention for Children’s Entertainers in Europe - Kiddology. This was in front of 250 children’s entertainers and was a huge honour, however it was only the beginning! In 2011 Craig and Russell were asked to once again lecture at Kiddology but this time on the subject of marketing for children’s entertainers and booking more shows.
Post 2012
Craig and Russell drafted Russell’s wife Anna into their act and the three of them developed an illusion show designed specifically for children. Over the following few years this act has gone on to be featured on TV numerous times and has won numerous awards. The Stage Newspaper described the act as ‘The Speciality Act of the Decade’ Sarah began working behind the scene dealing with enquiries and helping with bookings etc. Craig, Anna and Russell were invited to compete in the UK National Children’s Entertainer of the Year National Championships. This event was invitation only and acts were competing from all over the world. They came second in the competition and won an award for coming second place. On the back of doing so well at the championships the team of four set up Non Stop Kids Entertainment. The concept of the company was simple - to provide a high end service throughout the UK for reasonable prices, to develop a team of entertainers that can deliver the same high quality experience as Craig and Russell and finally to become the go to brand for children’s entertainment throughout the UK.
A year later Craig and Russell started to personally headhunt and train entertainers to join Non Stop Kids Entertainment. They headhunted entertainers from Alton Towers, Butlins, Haven, Disney, even professional actors. Each team member was taught the same high energy and modern performance style that Craig and Russ used in the Championships back in 2012. Within a couple of years Non Stop Kids were now performing at over 2000 parties a year throughout the Midlands. The company expanded into the North East and Yorkshire. Non Stop Kids Entertainment also won the contract to supply all the entertainment for The Alton Towers Hotels.
Moving forward a year or two, Non Stop Kids Entertainment began performing at over 4000 parties a year and had over 30 entertainers covering the North, the Midlands, Derbyshire, Shropshire and Lincolnshire. They began to move south in 2017 covering London, Kent, Essex etc.
Now
Non Stop Kids Entertainment still hold the same values that they had when the company was founded. They headhunt and train every new entertainer that comes on board to ensure that the same style they used to become award winners at The UK National Children’s Entertainer of the Year Championships is still exhibited at every party hosted. There are even more amazing entertainers in the team now and it continues to grow.
