Today's the day we've all been waiting for. To all the parents who waited to secure their children's entertainment after lockdown, your patience has finally paid off. Social restrictions are now officially over in the UK as of July 19th 2021. This means we no longer have to worry about maintaining social distancing rules, limitations to guests and much more we'll go over in today's blog.
Lifting of Social Constraints | Non-Stop Kids' Children's Entertainment Resumes
Before we go any further, something we need to emphasise very clearly is this applies strictly to the UK only. Wales have their own Government with their own set of rules & guidelines. While their own restrictions are easing, they are still weeks away from completely removing all restrictions. Not to worry because we will cover Wales' removal of restrictions when that day arrives. But until then, let's go over what's different in the UK.
No Limits On Gatherings!
That's right! If you are having a garden party you don't have to worry about adhering to the 30 person limits. You can have as many people as you want. This also applies to other events such as weddings, funerals, concerts, theatres, sporting events, religious events and much more. Likewise, you don't have to worry about maintaining the 1 meter distance between households. You're free to mix and mingle with whoever you choose. However, we do advise caution still as you can never be too careful.
Face Masks Aren't Enforced!
Face masks and coverings are no longer enforced by law. While you can still wear them if it makes you feel more comfortable, you don't have to worry about breaking any laws for not wearing one on public transportation, events, etc. If you secure entertainment with Non-Stop Kids and you would like our entertainer to still wear a face mask (unless exempt), that's not a problem either.
No More Table Service Only!
Venues, pubs and restaurants no longer need to offer table-service only. Everyone is free to come and go as they please. Similarly, there is no more legal requirement to check-in to a venue using the NHS Covid app, although you can still do so if you desire. This means you can hire out indoor venues again to host your children's birthday party.
