It goes without saying we don't experience this type of temperature often, but nevertheless it is important that we are prepared. So, if you are planning on holding your children's birthday party outdoors, what should you consider? Firstly, make sure there are plenty of shaded areas set up. When the sun becomes too much for us to tolerate, having a nice shaded area to retreat to would be a blessing. Likewise, we know rain is always a possibility within this country, so having said shelter would allow us to take cover from the rain as well.
This one goes without saying, but make sure to have plenty of water available. Staying hydrated is essential. The last thing any parent wants is for their child to pass out from heat exhaustion. Similarly, make sure everyone has plenty of sunscreen at the ready to make sure we're protected from scorching temperatures. If we are hit by an unexpected heatwave and it becomes too much to tolerate, retreating indoors might be your best option.
