At Non-Stop Kids, we frequently get asked over and over if we can supply a Disney themed mascot for their child's party. As the years have passed, we've been asked if we can supply iconic character mascots such as Elsa, Snow White, Spiderman, you name it! Unfortunately, every time we have been asked this, we have to decline and explain that it's something we cannot do. The reason for this is simple - we aren't allowed.
By law, we cannot use any characters owned by Disney (or any company for that matter) without a licence. It's against IP Law. Characters like Elsa and Anna are Disney's Intellectual Property and any company caught trying to supply mascots are handed a massive fine and possibly legal action. The only way to use these characters would be to purchase the licensing rights and unless Bill Gates loans you money, that's going to be out of everyone's price range! But the point of this blog isn't to talk about boring law documents. Our childrens party entertainment wants to tell you why a mascot is unneeded and how an entertainer with their own unique princess theme is ten times better!
Princess and Mascot Themed Celebrations
As a parent, it's expected that your child loves a specific franchise or character and it would make their special day amazing if they could have their hero show up. Mascots look fun and all, don't get us wrong, but the problem with only hiring a mascot is they are just there to stand around and wave occasionally. They are not entertainers, they don't have their own special equipment and ironically enough, kids get bored really easily. The problem is they are only there to stand around, not actually entertain and that's the problem unfortunately that many parents don't seem to understand. Don't get us wrong, we love Disney and we actually do work with them at Disneyland Paris and other additional areas. But mascot work isn't as exciting as it's made out to be.

Let's talk about our Princess Themed Party. We send our entertainer to your party (a girl, of course) to run and host the whole thing. They dress up as our very own Princess Jessica! The second the children walk through the door, Princess Jessica creates the perfect party atmosphere! From here, they will play themed music and other songs that we can tailor to each party for you. We kick off the party by having Princess Jessica give an amazing interactive story. She explains to the kids what it's like to be a princess, how she knows Elsa, Snow White and the other iconic characters, and how she set up her very own princess academy for the kids to take part in.
The kids love it! They are captivated by Princess Jessica's every word and wouldn't even ask about the other Disney Princesses afterwards. The reason this is far superior to just having a mascot is simple: your princess is an entertainer! This is their passion, a role that they are highly trained and experienced in!
