Choose The Right Time & Day!
Choosing when to have your party is very important. You want to find a day that works for your child and their friends. We highly recommend going for a weekend slot but weekday parties have become much more popular over the years. The ideal time slots that work well are 11AM to 1PM, 3PM till 5PM and 4PM till 6PM. It's important everyone has the best party experience possible without any conflicting schedules.
Choose Your Guests!
At the time of this blog we are now within April. The Government Guidelines are currently allowing us to have 15 people outdoors attend. This includes all of the children, the parents and your entertainer. For example, you could have 10 children, 3 parents and 1 entertainer. Make sure to plan in advance and only invite the chosen guests. The last thing you want to do is risk going over the limit and having someone report you for it. But by May the limit will increase to 30 and by June, there will be no restrictions at all!
Pick A Theme!
Adding a theme to your children's party really sets the tone and atmosphere. It also helps the guests to identify what type of garden party you have decided to go and host. Preparing Food & Drink!
It's important everyone has plenty of refreshments and food for your guests, especially when the warmer weather rolls out. To maintain social distancing rules we highly suggest you don't do a buffet-style meal. They're very hands-on and no one wants to eat something that has already been touched. To get creative you can prepare a picnic for your household family while your guests bring their own food from their respective household. Everyone sets up their own separate picnic tables where they can eat and still chat to each other.
Another great alternative option is to consider buying pre-packed food that is distributed safely. Snack boxes are the number 1 choice for this area. You can buy food that is already pre-made along with a bottled drink and other snacks as well. It's much easier and cheaper than going all out on a buffet. No matter which of these choices you pick, everyone will be able to socialise with each other while enjoying their food & drinks. Everyone's a winner!
Prepare Some Activity Games!
It wouldn't be a party without some games to play. Just because everyone has to stay two meters apart doesn't mean the kids can't play games together. There's lots of games out there that don't involve getting close to each other. You can prepare a scavenger hunt for the kids to find different items across the garden. There's also the classic games like eye-spy, charades and much more!

And last but not least, the most important part of your garden party is to make sure it adheres with all the Government Guidelines that have been put in place. We understand some parents have concerns about gathering again. The best thing you can do to encourage them is show you have taken all precautions and guarantee a safe and brilliant experience. In only a short couple of months will all restrictions be removed!
