What To Avoid At A Garden party | Garden Parties

Updated: Aug 17, 2023

You have decided to go ahead and throw the best garden birthday party ever! If you want to ensure your outdoor party is a massive success and will be heaped with lots of praise from parents, today's blog will offer some great advice on what to avoid at a garden party.

Steering Clear of Pitfalls at a Garden Party | Navigating Garden Party No-Nos

In only a couple of shorts months all restrictions will be removed and we're free to entertain how we please. Until then it's important that the current rules & guidelines are followed to make sure everyone stays safe while still having a fantastic celebration for your children's birthday party.

Food & Drinks!

Everyone is going to want to eat & drink at your children's garden party. You want to avoid anything that's hands on. Buffets or shared plates & cups. Avoid anything that requires passing from one person to another. Our number 1 recommendation is to go with snack boxes filled with pre-packed food like sandwiches, packet crisps, fruit snacks and bottled drinks. It's the best way to safely distribute food to everyone and eat without risks.

Stick To The Number Of People Allowed!

It is very important that you don't exceed the number of people allowed at your children's garden party. At the time of this blog we are currently allowed to have up to 15 people attending garden parties, including your entertainer as well. It's important you don't invite one too many guests or make sure one of your children's friends doesn't bring someone unannounced as well. But this won't last long because as of May 17th, the number of people will increase to 30. All limitations will be removed by June 21st as well!

Adhere With The Government Guidelines!

We can't empathise enough how important it is to follow all the Government Guidelines in place. It's been a hard time for all of us but now we can say with confidence that there's finally light at the end of the tunnel. In only a couple of months we can put everything behind us and return to normality as we know it. It's going to be a great experience. We just need to hang in there a bit longer.
